Feeling at a loss about your child or teenager’s behaviour? Unsure how to support them or where to start? The In-Between Space offers compassionate, practical support to help young people and families move forward with greater understanding and confidence.
Growing up is rarely straightforward. For many young people, adolescence can be a time of emotional pressure, changing relationships, school stress, and uncertainty. For parents and carers, it can also be hard to know what to do when a young person seems overwhelmed, withdrawn, or difficult to reach. The In-Between Space offers a calm, compassionate space where young people can feel heard and families can begin to make sense of what is going on together.
The In-Between Space was created from years of experience supporting young people who felt unheard, misunderstood, or overwhelmed, and families who were doing their best but did not always know where to turn. Support is human, non-clinical, and deeply relational — built around real conversations, practical guidance, and a calm space where young people are met with warmth, honesty, and respect. Families are supported to reconnect, communicate, and move forward with greater confidence.
Every family is different, which is why support is designed to be flexible, thoughtful, and responsive to what feels most helpful. Whether you are looking for one-to-one support, parent guidance, family sessions, or a more structured programme, The In-Between Space offers calm, practical support that meets families where they are.
A safe, supportive space for young people to reflect, build self-awareness, and explore practical ways forward.
Dedicated guidance to help parents better understand behaviours, emotions, communication challenges, and what may help at home.
Joint sessions that support calmer communication, shared understanding, and more constructive ways of moving forward together.
Longer-term support options designed to provide consistency, progress, and joined-up support for both young people and families.
Where appropriate, support can include communication with schools or other professionals to encourage understanding and consistency.
Some challenges are a natural part of growing up, but there are moments when a young person may benefit from extra space, guidance, and support. If some of the following feel familiar, it may be the right time to reach out. Seeking support does not mean something has gone wrong. Often, it is simply a sign of a parent who cares deeply and wants the best for their child.
